The novel Insaciable, by Małgorzata Lebda (pictured) will be the protagonist of an extraordinary literary evening organized by the Instituto Polaco de Cultura on 21 October at 7 pm in the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, during a meeting with the Polish author and her translators, Abel Murcia and Katarzyna Mołoniewicz, moderated by Eva Orúe, director of the Feria del Libro de Madrid.

The debut narrative of the well-known Polish poet is a surprisingly vital and sensual novel about illness and the progressive loss of a life that in contrast to death takes on ever greater vitality. The personal novel, written in a flexible, seemingly simple poetic language, in which the differences between human and non-human forms of life are blurred, deals with the paradoxes of a disease that is hungry for life, and of the beauty and the macabre coexisting in nature.

Małgorzata Lebda, author of poems such as the award-winning Matecznik -Madriguera- and Sny uckermärkerów -The dreams of the uckermärker. The most recent, Dunaj. Chyłe pola (Wydawnictwo Warstwy) -Danube. Laderas-, has earned the prestigious Kościelski Foundation Award (2025) and for Mer de glace received the Wisława Szymborska Prize (2022). His books have been translated into Czech, Italian, Serbian, Ukrainian, Slovene, Danish and Romanian. Doctor of Humanities and Audiovisual Arts, columnist, cultural animator, editor, researcher, ultramarathonist. His novel Łakome (Editorial Znak) -Insatiable (Temporal)- has been sold to four countries (Great Britain, Spain, France and Serbia). It is currently being adapted for the cinema.
