Today Wednesday returns to the Teatro Amaya (Paseo del General Martínez Campos, 9) Chamberí, the play La función que sale mal, the “most successful disaster of the Spanish theater”.
With over 500,000 spectators and more than 1,000 performances, this event kicks off what will be its seventh season on the program.
Spain continues to add figures that contribute to the international success of this comedy, which has already been shown in more than 30 countries and has won the most important theatrical awards on the planet, such as the Olivier, the Tony or the Molière (among many others).
La comedia que sale mal is a comedy for all audiences, a mix of Monty Python and Sherlock Holmes, featuring an amateur theatre troupe at the premiere of their mystery play in which, as the title itself suggests, everything that can go wrong… goes wrong!
The actors, prone to accidents, fight against all adversities until the end of the curtain, with consequences as disastrous as funniest. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
