This morning at 11 o’clock will take place in the Caja de las Letras of the Instituto Cervantes in Madrid (calle Alcalá, 49) the act of deposit of the legacy of the writer Ignacio Aldecoa, key figure of postwar Spanish narrative.
The director of the Institute will offer a welcome speech, followed by an intervention by Susana Aldecoa, author’s daughter, art historian and director of the Colegio Estilo, founded by her mother, also writer Josefina Aldecoa.
Subsequently, in the hall, a colloquium will be held around the work and figure of the honoree. The author and professor Ángeles Encinar, specialist in contemporary narrative; the novelist Óscar Esquivias, author of an outstanding trilogy inspired by the Divine Comedy; and the journalist and writer Juan Cruz, founder of the newspaper El País and cultural journalist in Spain.
