Fundación Casa de Mexico presents this afternoon at 5 pm the book La carrera más importante de nuestras vidas (The most important race of our lives), by Valentina Martínez Olguín. Free entry upon registration at this link.

The most important career of our lives is a testimony full of teachings about inner strength and the courage to live with purpose. The author narrates, with sensitivity and closeness, how the challenges of life can become opportunities to grow and transform the way we relate to the world.

The book combines reflections, personal experiences and motivational messages that invite the reader to value each moment as part of a great career: life.

The presentation will be attended by the author and oncology coach Silvia Brule. Moderator: Marta Brule, oncology coach and companion. During the activity, the author will share the origin of the book, her personal experience and the key messages she wants to convey.

Valentina Martínez Olguín is a chef by profession, although life has led her on the path of altruism. Full-time mother and partner of the renowned enduro driver Homero Díaz, his life has focused on supporting his partner and his children, based on motorcycle races, bikes and any sport that can be added to him.

In 2017, Mateo, his eldest son, was diagnosed with a rare blood disease called Aplasic Anemia. Following this diagnosis, Valentina dedicated herself to accompanying parents with children who are on the way to a bone marrow transplant or with some oncological disease. In 2024, Mateo falls on the Three Palms track in Conroe, Texas, losing consciousness and dying from a blow to his head. After this event, Valentina decides to study Tanatology to complement her companions and somehow help herself in the process of mourning that she and her family live.
