Until next August 27 Casa Mexico presents again a cycle of concerts, the Frecuencia Sonora. Rock Eme Equis 2025: a vibrant cross between Mexico and Spain, a music cycle that celebrates the diversity, innovation and cultural links between Mexico and Spain through independent music.
In its fourth edition it brings together artists who inhabit the space between the roots and experimentation, the ritual and the electronic, the intimate and the festive.
From Mexico, singer-songwriter Amanda Tovalin offers an emotional journey between contemporary jazz and popular Latin American lyric; Sonido San Francisco, with its digital cumbia and casual attitude, guarantees an irresistible dance floor; Camilo Lara, at the head of the Mexican Sound Institute, displays his explosive mix of Latin rhythms, electronics and social satire; La Santísima Voladora summons mysticism and female power in a sound proposal with ancestral roots and electronic atmosphere; Disco Bahía explores the sounds of retro pop and nostalgic synths, creating an experience as emotional as danceable; and Renee Mooi shares her proposal characterized by intimate electronic music, vocal experimentation and sound poetry.
From Spain, Sofía Comas offers a poetic and performative look at her solo career, with previews of her new project fully linked to Mexico; and Toldos Verdes, band revelation of the alternative scene, bets on pop lo-fi and a domestic aesthetic full of irony, sensitivity and social criticism.
Due to its cross-border vocation, Frecuencia Sonora MX aligns with the spirit of festivals such as Vive Latino, Axe Ceremonia or the Festival Centro, but also connects with events such as Primavera Sound, where sound exploration and the crossing of genres are the main protagonists.
This cycle is more than a poster: it is a common territory where music from both sides of the Atlantic dialogue, transform and invite us to listen to the present with other ears. A shared frequency, sound and vibrant, that is ready to be tuned.
