As part of the 84th Madrid Book Fair, the Instituto Cervantes hosts next Friday at 1pm in the Ibero-American Pavilion, 29-C (gateway to Granada), the presentation of the project A Ibero-American space of knowledge, promoted by the CRUE Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities and supported by the presidencies of Ibero-American universities.

This initiative seeks to consolidate an inclusive and innovative university space that encourages academic and scientific collaboration between institutions on both sides of the Atlantic, promoting the exchange of knowledge and strengthening regional integration.

The meeting will be attended by Ricardo Mairal, president of CRUE-Internacionalización y Cooperación and rector of UNED; Antonio López Díaz, rector of the University of Santiago de Compostela; Ciro Murayama, representative of UNAM in Madrid, and Luis García Montero, Director of the Instituto Cervantes. The speakers will discuss the importance of building strategic alliances between Ibero-American universities, generating knowledge networks that transcend borders and enhance joint research in key areas such as innovation, sustainability and inclusion.

The presentation will detail the project’s objectives, which include the creation of joint academic programmes, student and teacher mobility, as well as the development of collaborative research platforms. In addition, the role of the Cervantes Institute as a cultural and linguistic bridge will be highlighted, contributing to the strengthening of an Ibero-American identity based on knowledge, diversity and academic exchange.

Free admission. Seat reservation. Please confirm.
