The Fundación Carlos de Amberes presents in its Chapel (calle Claudio Coello, 99) next Friday 23 May at 19 hours his Festival Renacen 2025 with the concert Canzone da Sonare – Los Ympossibles. Tickets can be purchased at this link. Tickets are not numbered. Access to the venue will be half an hour in advance.

This is a proposal focused on the music of the early baroque, at which time the instruments became independent from the voices, taking on special importance for the first time. Canzona, literally song, is the term that during the sixteenth century was used in Italy to identify those “songs” composed expressly to be performed by instruments.

The Renacen Festival of Renaissance and Baroque arts is organized by the Fundación Carlos de Amberes and the Compañía Garcilasos, and is resolved as a unique opportunity to approach the music of the past from the hand of groups of a proven quality and professional career.

The group Los Ympossibles is composed by Sonia Rabasa. In 2013 he won the competition for soloists of the Baroque Orchestra of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid. He has given concerts at the National Auditorium in Madrid, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in San Fernando, etc. Ismael Campanero. He was soloist of double bass in the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra in Germany, and in the Young National Orchestra of Spain. Collaborates assiduously with Il Pomo d’Oro, Jupiter, Arcangelo, Balthasar Neumann or The English Concert. And Ramiro Morales. He has extensive experience as a continuist and soloist, collaborating with national and international festivals over 20 years.
