The program offers a total of €282,000 for a total of twelve scholarships.</strong></h4> The call, signed on May 12 by AECID Director Antón Leis and published two days later in the Official State Gazette (BOE), is part of the MAEC-AECID scholarship and assistantship programs, now in their seventy-eighth edition, aimed at promoting culture, art, science, and education as a means of promoting Spain's international presence abroad. It is also part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' initiatives, through the Directorate of Cultural and Scientific Relations (DRCC) of the AECID (Spanish Agency for International Development), to train young Spaniards. According to the Agency, this initiative "seeks to offer opportunities for young Spaniards to have an educational experience abroad in areas relevant to European affairs." The program, therefore, "represents a unique opportunity for training, learning, and exchange in various academic disciplines," it adds. The MAEC-AECID 2025-2026 scholarship call offers a total of €282,000 across twelve scholarships (with a €23,500 award each) to qualify for the COE Program for training young Spanish graduates. The twelve beneficiaries will be able to pursue a master's degree in the specialties or areas of study offered by the College of Europe, the most prestigious postgraduate European studies institution in Europe. Specifically, the master's programs will be offered at the College of Europe campuses in Bruges (Belgium), Natolin (Poland), and Tirana (Albania) and cover specialties such as European law, European economics, international relations, political studies and governance, interdisciplinary studies, and European transformation and integration. The application period, which takes ten working days, opens this Friday, May 16, 2025.
