Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares met this Tuesday with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg, with whom he celebrated the upcoming opening of her country’s first embassy in Spain.
During the meeting, held at the Viana Palace in Madrid, the two ministers discussed key issues on the international agenda, such as the war in Ukraine, relations with China, Russia, and the European Union.
Furthermore, according to a press release from the Foreign Ministry, Albares and his counterpart signed an agreement between the Diplomatic School and the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The first outcome of this agreement will be a master class that Minister Battsetseg will give to the students of the Master’s Degree in Diplomatic Relations during her visit to the School.
Along the same lines, the meeting celebrated the upcoming opening of a Mongolian Embassy in Spain, “which will contribute to improving the relationship between the two countries,” the Ministry concluded.
