The Instituto Francés in Madrid presents in its theater on Thursday, March 27 at 8 pm its new cycle Résonance, a unique musical experience that invites you to explore the infinite possibilities of the piano. Reservations at this link.
As part of this cycle, will be presented to Romain Dubois, composer and musician of great versatility, who will present his album Una bestia. With a career marked by his work alongside a dozen contemporary dance companies, Dubois has deepened the connection between music and the body, exploring from traditional dance to the circus. On this journey, he has reached a point of introspection, questioning himself as a musician through his solo piano, with which he creates a deeply evocative sound universe.
The new Résonance piano cycle takes place between January and April 2025, bringing together four artists from the contemporary French music scene who, through their proposals, offer a musical experience as original as it is complementary.
Romain Dubois, composer, musician and sound engineer, has been working in multiple disciplines for more than 15 years. He has collaborated with contemporary dance companies such as Tango Sumo and Cie AccroRap, and with circus projects such as Foutoir Céleste from Cirque Exalté. His music has accompanied advertising productions (Nespresso, Lidl), monumental mapping shows (Spectaculaires), and has been part of innovative projects such as Architectural Sonar Works with Cédric Brandilly.
In his solo project, Una Bestia, Dubois explores the relationship between music, body and repetition as a way to trance and self-improvement. His “augmented” piano and performative approach make it an experience that moves and transforms the viewer.
