The Madrid Book Fair, which will be held from May 30 to June 15 in El Retiro Park, will have an Ibero-American pavilion in its 2025 edition, financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This space will host book presentations, round tables, author signings and activities that “seek to make Ibero-American cultural diversity visible, promoting the exchange of ideas and regional integration from the world of books,” the Ministry reported in a press release.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, the Ibero-American pavilion “aims to be a place of encounter and debate around our diverse and mixed languages and cultures, which constitute the essence of the Ibero-American community of nations.”
This pavilion, he added, “reflects the spirit with which Spain assumes the responsibility of organizing the future Ibero-American Summit in 2026,” which will be held in Madrid and will bring together the heads of state and government of 22 countries.
