Fundación Japón de Madrid, with the collaboration of Casa Asia, organizes this afternoon at 7 pm in the auditorium of the second (Calle Mayor, 69) a conference and round table entitled Liquid crystal ink: contemporary Japanese writers, on contemporary Japanese literature and its new female voices, in commemoration of International Women’s Day.
In a context of profound digital transformation and changes in the modes of literary production and diffusion, younger Japanese writers have found new ways to tell stories about contemporary reality. Through their works, they address issues such as the representation of women in Japanese society, the struggle against traditional gender roles and tensions between autonomy and identity in a constantly changing world.
A literature that challenges and expands boundaries, as well as proposes new ways of thinking about contemporaneity. This meeting aims to bring the public closer to the trends of this recent literature and the impact of women’s voices in the current panorama. Free participation until capacity is full. Requires prior registration to attend via this link.
