As part of the Madrid Arts Week, from 4 to 9 March, arrives in the capital of Spain Casa Ecuador Madrid 2025, an immersive sensory experience of the Fundación Identidad Nacional which spreads biodiversity and culture of Ecuador in the world, which will be located in the Palacete de la calle Serrano, 95, Madrid.

The Fundación Identidad Nacional (FIN) chaired by Luis Felipe Fernández-Salvador y Campodonico (Marqués de Lises), presented at the Convention Center of Guayaquil this immersive sensory experience that, with the support of the Embassy of Ecuador, will spread art, biodiversity, culture, gastronomy and premium producer of the country to Spanish civil society.

The first edition of this initiative conquered Paris as part of the 2024 Olympic Games, where more than 3,000 daily visitors discovered the richness and diversity of Ecuadorian culture and gastronomy in a unique art scene. Its impact caught the attention of international figures such as FIFA president Gianni Infantino, S.A Princess Reema Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia, as well as Ecuadorian personalities such as the Latin Grammys: Pablo and Paulina Aguirre and Olympic medallist Jefferson Pérez.

Casa Ecuador arrives in Madrid with the support of the Ministries of Culture and Production of Ecuador, the Ecuadorian Chancellery and its Embassy in Spain and the office of Pro Ecuador in Spain, from 12 to 18 hours and from 18 hours onwards, to offer exclusive galas in honor of various personalities from the aristocratic, artistic, diplomatic, business and political sphere of Spain and Ibero-America.

The Palace that will house Casa Ecuador will show on its facade a colorful decoration of premium Ecuadorian roses of intense red color in tribute to the biodiversity of the country. Its balconies and walls will be set with lush Amazonian vegetation and plantations of golden bananas, emblem of Ecuadorian production and its historical link with Spain and Europe.

The 700 m2 of the Palacete will be the setting for tasting experiences, where the public can see and taste a delicate selection of premium products from the exportable offer of Ecuador such as: high coffee, cocoa, chocolate, shrimp, banana, Tropical fruits, herbs, yucca bread, among others. You will also see replicas of the cocoa pot from the Mayo Chinchipe culture (3,500 BC) discovered in the Ecuadorian Amazon, which is the oldest evidence of the origin and domestication of cocoa in Ecuador and the strong link that this product has with Europe and Latin America.

Pieces of handmade jewelry, straw weavers toquilla showing live the ancient art of the only hat in the world that has been recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, as well as a vegetable garden that will recreate the native flora of the country, will be other attractions that will present this edition of Casa Ecuador.

Ecuadorian musicians such as Gabriela Cobo (violin), Daniel Pacheco (accordion) and Paulina and Pablo Aguirre, along with other Ecuadorian artists living in Spain, will offer concerts where they fuse contemporary sounds with roots of Ecuadorian music.

In the presentation of Casa Ecuador Madrid 2025, Luis Felipe Fernández-Salvador y Campodonico, Marqués de Lises and President of Fundación Identidad Nacional (FIN), highlighted the importance of this initiative as a platform for global projection for the country and noted that “With this project, Ecuador not only shows its cultural heritage but transforms it into a magnet for tourism, investment and innovation. This is the commitment of the National Identity Foundation: achieve the internationalization of the Ecuadorian identity and open opportunities for the country in the world”.
