The Cathedral of Toledo will be the gothic setting of the concert that next 8 February at 20 hours will be held in favor of the Spanish Association against Cancer.
This concert will be the beginning of the musical program of the VIII centenary of the Cathedral. Therefore, the best performers and a great musical program have been chosen that will certainly mark an excellent starting point for the celebration. The Baroque Orchestra of Seville, the choir of the Ensemble Cisneros and the soprano Aurora Peña, under the direction of Martyna Pastuzska will delight the public with the work Magnificat, by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750).
The first version of this work was composed by Bach in 1724, the year in which Narciso Tomé began to build the Transparent, which serves as an image for the concert. The stage where the performance will be held will be on the cruise of the Cathedral.
The event will have a capacity of 952 people and the proceeds will be used for social projects and research that the Spanish Association against Cancer develops in the province of Toledo. Tickets can be purchased through this link.
In addition, all those interested in helping but who cannot attend the concert have the possibility to make their donation in a Row 0 direct to the account of the Spanish Association against Cancer: ES95 2100 1224 8902 0027 2256 with the concept ‘Charitable Donation Concert’.
