The Embassy of the Dominican Republic will use the Fitur International Tourism Fair to attract investment and promote the country.
Starting today, Fitur 2025 will bring together professionals from the tourism sector until January 26, with a focus on sustainability and innovation in this 45th edition, with Brazil as its partner country.
Dominican ambassador, Juan Bolívar Díaz Santana, has highlighted that “we have gained a lot of prestige with UN Tourism because we were the first country to restore tourism after COVID-19. In the last quarter of 2022 we reached the figures we had in 2019. And we have continued to grow to become the second largest country in Latin America after Mexico in terms of visitors”. He added that “Fitur will allow us to show the world the progress of our country, present our main tourism proposals for 2025, share good practices with other countries, attract investments and strengthen air connectivity”.
