Next Monday, December 30 at 18:00, the Fundación Excelentia presents in the Symphony Hall of the Auditorio Nacional de Música of Madrid its traditional New Year’s Eve Gala, with the best Zarzuelas ever.
The Santa Cecilia Classical Orchestra will perform the pieces of “Género chico” with conductor José Luis López Antón, who will have the voices of soprano Ruth Terán, tenor Alejandro Roy and baritone Manuel Mas.
The programme is composed of such famous titles as Preludio, from La alegría de la huerta; De este apacible rincón de Madrid, Caballero del alto plumero and Luche la fe por el triunfo, by Luisa Fernanda; En un país de fábula, from La tabernera del puerto; Somos dos barcas, from Katiuska; Bella enamorada, of El último romántico; Canción del ruiseñor, by Doña Francisquita; Intermedio, from La boda de Luis Alonso; Granada, by A. Lara; No puede ser, from La taberna del Puerto; Ya mis horas felices, from La del Soto del Parral, and Duet de Felipe y MariPepa, from La Revoltosa.
