On Tuesday 3, Thursday 5, Monday 9 and Thursday 12 December, Casa América, in collaboration with Bocacha Films, Reverso Films, Latido, Fá bula and Oliete Films, will present at its Sala Iberia a selection of Latin American films, candidates from their countries, the Goya 2025 Award for Best Ibero-American Film, awarded annually by the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain. Free admission. Limited capacity.
A great opportunity to see five of the films that are eligible for this important award that recognizes the talent of filmmakers from the region. On November 27, Agarrame fuerte (2024), a film by Uruguay and written and directed by the filmmakers Ana Guevara and Leticia Jorge, was screened, which started this small show.
From Tuesday, December 3, the candidates will be exhibited for Portugal (La flor del Burití), Dominican Republic (Aire, Just Breathe), Chile (El lugar de la otra) and Venezuela (Niños de Las Brisas – in the photo).
The films will be presented by their directors, who will participate in the colloquia that will take place after the screenings. Tickets will be distributed one hour before the start of the screening.
