Fundación Casa de Mexico presents the next Wednesday, December 4 at 7 pm in its Hall of Multiple Uses the jazz concert Sabor a México, with the Julia Vari Quintet.
Led by singer, pianist and arranger Julia Vari (pictured), the quintet is composed of Lucía Rey (piano), Reiner “El Negrón” (bass), Georvis Pico Milian (drums) and X (guitar).
Known for her improvisational ability and her very particular style of blending jazz with Mexican and Latin American melodies and rhythms, Julia Vari’s repertoire is a reflection of the diversity and musical richness of our times. Julia will delight with songs from the album she recorded with Armando Manzanero (Adoro, 2015), as well as some new tracks.
In this show every note is a tribute to the beauty of our roots, inviting everyone to feel the joy, nostalgia and pride of Mexican culture.
