Adriana Bolaños, from Costa Rican Ambassador to Spain to Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs

Eduardo González The former Costa Rican Ambassador to Spain, Adriana Bolaños Argueta, assumed the position of Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs on July 1, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of the Central American country. Bolaños, a lawyer by profession and a member of the Costa Rican diplomatic corps since 2001, has represented her country in Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Belgium, France, and Spain. In Costa Rica, she served as ambassador for exactly three years, from July 1, 2023, to July 1, 2026. Adriana Bolaños was appointed during the administration of former President Rodrigo Chaves Robles and assumes her new position under the newly appointed President Laura Fernández Delgado, whose inauguration, which took place on May 8, was attended by King Felipe VI.
