Foreign Ministry reports the deaths of two Spaniards and the disappearance of 80 others following the Venezuelan earthquakes

Eduardo González Two Spanish citizens have died and 80 are missing as a result of the two earthquakes that struck northern Venezuela, according to sources at the Foreign Ministry. I am deeply saddened that the people of Venezuela, after everything they have endured, are now suffering something like this. We will be at their complete disposal for anything they need,” declared the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, during an interview on Telecinco. ERICAM is comprised of firefighters specializing in collapsed structure rescue, four canine units for locating victims, and medical professionals from SUMMA 112. According to the Community of Madrid, a contingent of 40 personnel is available should the Spanish government activate military transport within the European Civil Protection Mechanism or in direct coordination with Venezuelan authorities. The Canary Islands Government has activated a monitoring committee to assess the situation in Venezuela and its potential impact on the thousands of Canary Islanders residing there. The President of the Canary Islands Government, Fernando Clavijo, and the Vice President, Manuel Domínguez, have suspended their schedules to closely monitor developments.
