For his part, Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares also condemned, via social media, “the breakdown of the ceasefire between Israel and Iran” and warned that “resorting to violence again will bring even more suffering.” “Only dialogue and diplomacy guarantee peace and stability in the region. An immediate de-escalation is necessary. There is no military solution in the Middle East,” he insisted. In another message, Albares also “strongly” condemned the “terrorist attack” perpetrated this Sunday by Hamas in central Israel, which killed one person and injured four others, as well as “the continued rocket fire by Hezbollah against Israel.” “The ceasefire must also be respected by all parties in Israel, Palestine, and Lebanon,” the message concluded. Iran fired several missiles at northern Israel this Sunday in response to an Israeli bombing of Beirut that killed two people. The ten missiles fired by Iran were intercepted by the Israeli army without causing any casualties. This is Iran's first attack against Israel since the truce agreed on April 8 between Tehran, on the one hand, and the United States and Israel, on the other.
