A dozen French authors will present their new releases and sign their books at the Madrid Book Fair, which will be held from May 29 to June 14 in Retiro Park and will be dedicated, as its main theme, to humorous writing, according to the French Institute in Madrid.

Karim Kattan (pictured) will be at booth 99 (block 17) of La Fabulosa Librería to sign books on Saturday, May 30, from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. He will also be at booth 59 (block 9) of the Balqís bookstore on Sunday, May 31, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. His latest book, “El Edén al alba” (Eden at Dawn), was published in 2026 by Txalaparta.
Mohamed Mbougar Sarr will be at booth 293 (block 27b) of the Pérgamo bookstore to sign books on Wednesday, June 3, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. His latest book, “Pure Men,” was published in 2024 by Anagrama.
Bénédicte de Buron-Brun will be at booth 96 (block 17) of the Renacimiento / Espuela de Plata publishing house to sign books on Thursday, June 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Fatima Daas will be at booth 69 (block 11) of the Berkana Bookstore from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at booth 59 (block 9) of the Balqís Bookstore from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to sign copies on Friday, June 5. His latest book, “Playing the Game,” was published in 2026 by Cabaret Voltaire.
Didier Eribon will be at booth 65 (block 10) of the Enclave de Libros bookstore signing books on Saturday, June 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. His latest book, “Sociobiography,” was published in 2026 by El Cuenco de Plata.
Philippe Claudel will be at booth 158 (block 24A) of the Alberti Bookstore signing books on Monday, June 8, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. His latest book, “Wanted,” was published in 2026 by Bunker Books.
Joëlle Eyheramonno Fouché will be at Kalandraka’s booth 359 (block 21b) signing books on Thursday, June 11, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. She worked on the translation of the new edition of “The Little Prince” with Kalandraka, published in 2016.
Nancy Berthier, director of the Casa de Velázquez, will be at the Spanish University Publishers Association (UNE) booth 381 (block 36c) signing books on Saturday, June 13, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
