The Embassy of Ecuador presents its scholarship program for Ecuadorian students in Spain

The Diplomat The Embassy of Ecuador in Spain and Planeta Formación y Universidades, the higher education network of Grupo Planeta, have presented the third edition of their scholarship program for Ecuadorian citizens residing in Spain. This initiative aims to promote quality higher education among young people seeking professional development to generate positive progress in their communities. During the event, held last Wednesday, the Ecuadorian Ambassador to Spain, Wilma Andrade Muñoz, highlighted the impact of this initiative. “Following President Daniel Noboa’s vision, we are launching this third edition of the Scholarship Program, convinced that education transforms lives, expands employment opportunities, and contributes to improving the quality of life of our citizens residing in Spain. I recognize and appreciate Planeta Formación y Universidades’ commitment to this broad and diverse academic offering,” she stated. For his part, Carlos Giménez, CEO of Planeta Formación y Universidades, highlighted the commitment “to developing and improving the skills and abilities of international talent, through the academic excellence that characterizes Planeta Formación y Universidades.” In this third edition, the program will offer 204 scholarships for programs in Intermediate Vocational Training, Advanced Vocational Training, Bachelor's Degrees, Postgraduate Studies, Continuing Education, and Doctoral programs, thus covering all levels of higher education. Students will be able to choose from approximately 148 programs, distributed across 10 areas of knowledge, offered by Planeta Formación y Universidades in conjunction with the following institutions: EAE Business School (at its Madrid and Barcelona campuses), VIU – International University of Valencia, Planeta FP, UNIE University, OBS Business School, EsDesign Barcelona School of Design, BIU Broward International University, Universitat Carlemany, The Core School, Barcelona Culinary Hub by Martín Berasategui, INESDI, and Iberonex. The collaboration between the organizations includes three types of study grants: one that covers 100% of tuition, another that covers 75%, and a third that covers 50% of the cost. The application period for these grants is open from today, May 20, until July 13, 2026, and they are intended for programs beginning in the second half of this year. Students can register online at https://ayudasestudioecu.planetaformacion.com/. Those interested in the grant program must meet the requirements outlined in the established guidelines. Selection will be based on academic record, and in the event of a tie, applicants will be considered in order of registration.
