Carlos Ramiro Martínez, Guatemala’s current Minister of Foreign Affairs, will speak this Tuesday, May 12, at the EFE-Casa de América Forum, a space for reflection and debate with leading figures in the political, economic, and social spheres of Ibero-American countries, launched by both institutions in 2006.
The event will begin with welcoming remarks by León de la Torre, Director General of Casa de América, after which Carlos Ramiro Martínez will be interviewed by Emilia Pérez, International Director of the EFE News Agency.
Carlos Ramiro Martínez holds a degree in International Relations and has served as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs on four occasions. He has also been Guatemala’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. He has served as ambassador to various countries and, within the framework of his work in public administration, has developed expertise in development, citizen security, and Central American integration.
