Sánchez condemns the attempted attack against Trump: “Violence is never the answer”

The Diplomat Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has condemned the attempted attack against US President Donald Trump and warned, via social media, that “violence is never the answer.” “We condemn the attack that took place tonight against President Donald Trump,” Sánchez wrote on social media this Sunday. “Violence is never the answer,” he continued. “Humanity will only advance through democracy, coexistence, and peace,” he concluded. US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were evacuated Saturday from a dinner hosted by the White House Correspondents' Association after a man stormed in with a knife. The man, Cole Allen, has been arrested by the FBI. The incident occurred at the Washington Hilton Hotel, about 1.5 miles from the White House. Trump himself later confirmed that the attacker resides in California and acted alone. He also described him as a “lone wolf” and a “person with serious problems.” Authorities believe the suspect intended to kill Trump and other high-ranking officials. In a manifesto previously sent to his family, Cole Allen announced his intention to eliminate Trump administration officials and dubbed himself “The Friendly Federal Assassin.” “I am not willing to allow a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to stain my hands with his crimes,” he wrote.
