Ida’s program, Introspections, takes the audience on a fascinating journey into some of the lesser-known pieces by some of the most famous composers, from Ravel to Fauré. An intimate and diverse program, blending short forms, soundscapes, and contemporary compositions.
The common thread running through this journey is the theme of Introspection, a process of self-reflection marked by purity and authenticity. Highlighting the essence, the origin, the truth, the heart of things… these are the common attributes of the works that Ida Pelliccioli has selected for this musical event.
In Sibelius’s Six Impromptus, one finds reminiscences of dances and influences of the kantele, a traditional Finnish plucked string instrument, creating a great moment of intimacy and depth.
By prioritizing suggestion over assertion, Fauré’s melodies achieve their emotional impact through the precision of their means, in concise and finely chiseled musical forms.
With Dans les brumes, Janáček reveals a very intimate and sensitive facet of his musical personality. The overall atmosphere echoes the title, maintaining a certain distance, as if the piano were sometimes lost in a bank of clouds.
Finally, we find delicate and shifting harmonies, crystalline textures sustained by authentic style and emotion in Ravel. The music folds back on itself and invites reflection, paying sincere homage to a historic musical genre: the Baroque.
Ida Pelliccioli began her musical studies at the National Regional Conservatory of Nice and then continued her training at the École Normale de Musique in Paris. She performs throughout Europe, Canada, Southeast Asia, Australia, and South Africa. In 2025, she made her debuts in Singapore and Thailand, and will perform for the first time in Croatia in 2026 and in Liechtenstein in 2028. During the 2024-2025 season, she performed in such prestigious venues as the National Gallery in London, the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham, and the Lyceum Club in Florence.
