The Gabriela Mistral amphitheater of Casa América will host next Thursday, April 9 at 7 p.m. the musical meeting Indianos: el latido de dos orillas. Free admission until full capacity.
This quote traces an emotional and cultural bridge between Asturias, Madrid and Ibero-America, evoking the stories of return that have marked our collective memory. In this concert, Pipo Prendes turns the stage of the Casa de América into a place where music acts as a common language and shared territory.
Through a delicately woven repertoire, the concert explores sounds that have traveled to both sides of the Atlantic: the cadence of the habaneras, the elegance of the bolero, the pulse of the waltz and the depth of the author’s song. Each theme is a small narrative, a fragment of history that talks about migrations, roots, affections and belonging.
More than a musical proposal, ‘Indianos’ is a celebration of the mixed cultural identity that unites continents and generations. An invitation to listen, feel and recognize in the music those shared emotions that, even though born far away, roll on the same compass.
Pipo Prendes is a singer, composer and one of the most personal voices in the contemporary Asturian music scene. His career is characterized by a deep respect for the musical tradition and, at the same time, by a current and sensitive perspective that connects with diverse audiences.
