The Diplomat

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, and the news of his controversial decisions aroused the interest of the ambassadors and diplomats who met yesterday Tuesday at the Meliá Princesa Hotel in Madrid to attend the meeting organized by The Diplomat in Spain, The Association of Foreign Diplomats (ADE) and Meliá Hotels entitled The Trump effect, are we at the gates of a new world order? , which was presented by Kike Andrés, chief defense editor of El Confidencial for Military, Geopolitical and Strategic Affairs.

Kike Andres made a brief and concise study of the present and possible future that awaits us after the last (and probable future) decisions of the American president, both from the political point of view, as well as commercial and demographic in his country and in the world.

At the end of the exhibition, the participants of the meeting asked the editor-in-chief of Defensa de El Confidencial several questions that served to deepen even more into the uncertain future of America, Europe and internationally.

The Diplomat’s Tertulias have been held regularly for years and address different aspects of politics, economy and society in Spain and abroad. Its objective is to offer foreign diplomats different approaches and points of view on aspects of the Spanish and world reality, under the condition of strict confidentiality of what is discussed in the room.
