The Embassy of Ecuador and the Consulate General in Madrid have inaugurated the exhibition Vitralista without glass from a country without stained glass, by the multidisciplinary artist Pablo Mora (Quito, 1969), an art show that can be visited at the Centro Cultural Ecuatoriano de Madrid, until 10 February 2026.

Pablo Mora is an architect, musician and artist who specializes in stained glass, a discipline he learned from his father, Oswaldo Mora, a renowned master glazier. With over 35 years of professional experience, Pablo has created more than 1,300 square meters of stained glass windows, integrated in emblematic architectural spaces of Ecuador such as cathedrals, universities and hospitals.

To his artistic side he adds his experience as bassist of the emblematic Ecuadorian band Tercer Mundo, with which he collaborates for more than 30 years. His multifaceted profile is directly reflected in his visual work, where he fuses space, light, color and sound with a surrealist language and a deep humanistic theme.

In its pictorial facet, the artist proposes works of surrealist theme, with a marked influence of the technique of the stained glass and a humanistic message. Each painting represents the cover of a musical piece composed entirely by the artist himself, designed to express a specific emotion or feeling.

The exhibition Vitralista without glass from a country without stained glass presents a proposal that uniquely articulates painting, stained glass and music, offering the public an integral sensory experience. The exhibition consists of eight oil paintings on canvas and four small stained glass windows, in which the fusion of the disciplines that characterize Mora’s work is evident.

Each work has a QR code, through which the viewer can access an extended experience, which includes not only the appreciation of technique, form, color and light, but also the poetry and music created by Pablo Mora for each piece.
