The Real Instituto Elcano presents tomorrow Wednesday at 12 o’clock in the Espacio Bertelsmann (calle O’Donnell no 10), the work Spain in the world in 2026: perspectives and challenges, prepared by its research team.
In this paper, the team analyses the prospects of the international landscape and the short-term challenges for Spanish foreign action.
The event will be presented and moderated by Charles Powell, director of the Real Instituto Elcano, and the members of the research team: Carlota García Encina, principal investigator; Carlos Malamud, principal investigator; Mira Milosevic-Juaristi, principal investigator; e Ignacio Molina, principal investigator.
Security and defence is once again the key area in a context marked by the deterioration of the transatlantic relationship and internal polarization, which is becoming less and less subdued at EU level.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Real Instituto Elcano, this edition is special and also includes a review of Spain in the world since 2001 and a prospective reflection on the horizon 2050.
During the presentation, members of the Research team will discuss the main findings of the report and listen to the media.
To attend in person and/or request interviews please write to prensa@rielcano.org. Limited capacity. The event will take place in Spanish without simultaneous interpretation. The presentation can also be followed live on YouTube.
