The Embassy of Honduras and the District of Chamartín of Madrid inaugurate next Wednesday, February 4 at 7 pm in the Cultural Center Nicolás Salmerón (calle Mantuano, 51) the exhibition Origin, Evolution and Migration, by the Honduran plastic artist Julio Marcelino Sanabria Mata. To confirm attendance, please visit the following link.

Julio Marcelino Sanabria Mata is a recognized artist in his country and internationally, with outstanding achievements such as First place at the Central American level in the Anthology for the cover of the book of the Bicentenary of Central America, 2021; Honduras Culture and Arts Prize 2018, Awarded by the Executive Directorate of Culture and Art and the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (O.E.I.), and Honorable Mention at the XXVII National Art Fair, 2017, Centro Cultural Sampedrano.

The exhibition Origin, Evolution and Migration seeks to highlight various artistic manifestations and themes of current life, such as migration, and presents a pictorial display that invites reflection on the past, present and future of art and humanity.

– Origin: explores the birth of the first artistic manifestations of man and the artistic feeling of the author.

– Evolution: shows how art has evolved over time, from rock art to technological art.

– Migration: addresses a topic of great global importance, in which many people are forced to leave their countries in search of a better future, opportunities or security.
