<h6><strong>Eduardo González</strong></h6> <h4><strong>The meeting scheduled for Monday between the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, and the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has been canceled due to the derailment of two trains in Adamuz, Córdoba, which left at least 39 dead and dozens injured.</strong></h4> “The news coming from Córdoba is very serious and painful, and nothing is more urgent now than attending to the victims and their families,” Feijóo wrote on social media. “Therefore, I have just written to Pedro Sánchez to propose postponing the meeting we had planned for tomorrow (today),” he added. “Our teams will be able to find another date. But today, basic decency demands that we postpone it,” he concluded. “Tonight is a night of profound sorrow for our country due to the tragic train accident in Adamuz,” Pedro Sánchez wrote. “I want to express my deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims (…). All emergency services are working tirelessly in a coordinated manner,” he added. Pedro Sánchez was scheduled to meet with Alberto Núñez Feijóo at the Moncloa Palace on Monday, in what was to be the first meeting in the Prime Minister's round of talks with parliamentary groups to secure their support for a possible troop deployment to Ukraine. The meeting was set for 6:00 p.m. and, in addition to Ukraine, the situations in Greenland and Venezuela, as well as regional funding, were to be discussed.
