The exhibition Raw Land, by Zsolt Bukta, was opened last Thursday at the Monat Gallery in Madrid (Calle de los Estudios, 7) under the auspices of the Hungarian Embassy and with the support of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The exhibition was opened by the ambassador of Hungary, George Habsburg.

The Hungarian ambassador pointed out at the opening that “support for Hungarian creativity and all manifestations of art, industry, music, design, cinema or literature is one of the fundamental missions of our cultural work. The Embassy works every day to give visibility to Hungarian talent, strengthen cultural ties and create spaces where our artistic voices can interact with the Spanish public. In this spirit we are deeply happy to share the series Raw Land, the work of Zsolt Bukta born in an intimate dialogue with nature and a deep sensitivity towards the materials and the surrounding landscape. It is a shining example of how art can build bridges between two countries. A Hungarian artist who lives and creates in the Canary Islands and today brings to Madrid a unique vision.”

Through paintings made with pigments of natural origin, the Hungarian artist, resident in Tenerife, presents a work of organic character based on the dialogue between materials and nature.

The works can be visited until January 11, 2026 at the usual gallery time: from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 14:30 to 18:30.
