The Fundación Euroamérica and the European Union, in collaboration with Casa de América, organize the Seminar: After the IV CELAC-EU Summit in Santa Marta. Results achieved and objectives to be met, which will take place tomorrow Thursday at 15.30 hours in the Gabriela Mistral Amphitheater of Casa de América (entrance by C/ Marqués del Duero, 2), ending with a cocktail.

Following the registration of participants, León de la Torre, director of Casa de América, will give a welcome speech at the opening by António Costa, president of the European Council (online); Ramón Jáuregui, president of the Euro-American Foundation; and Pelayo Castro, Deputy Director-General for the Americas of the European External Action Service (EEAS).
José Manuel Albares, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, and Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio, Minister of Foreign Relations of Colombia (online) will also speak.
The session entitled Opportunities for business on both sides will take place at 4.10 p.m. Investments in strategic sectors. Agenda de Inversones Global Gateway, with the introduction of Alcia Montalvo, Manager of Climate Action and Positive Biodiversity of Caf – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean; Luis Jiménez-McInnis, representative of the Inter-American Development Bank – IDB in Europe, and Félix Fernández-Shaw, director for Latin America and the Caribbean, D.G. International Associations, European Commission.
Critical raw materials value chains will then be discussed, with the intervention of Fernando J. Ciacera, National Director of Value Chain and Mining Economy, Ministry of Mining of Argentina (online), as well as Connection of networks – regional electricity markets, Beatriz Corredor, president of REDEIA. We will continue with the topic Investment in quality digital infrastructure, at which will speak Miguel Ángel Panduro, CEO of Hispasat; followed by Circular Economy (sargazo), with Óscar Rossbach, Director General Mexico of Dutch Clean Tech (online), to conclude with European Union Financing, with María Romano, Director of the Office of the European Investment Bank-EIB in Spain.
At 17.40 hours, the session Launch of the OECD Report: “Assessment of the socio-economic impact of Foreign Direct Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a focus on European investments” will be held, which will be introduced by Félix Fernández-Shaw, Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, D.G. International Partnerships, European Commission; Ragnheið ur Elín Árnadóttir, Director of the OECD Development Centre; and António Gomes, Deputy Director of the Directorate for Finance and Business, OECD.
The event will close at 6 p.m., with a session entitled Where relations between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean should be heading, to which Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, will extend an invitation, and Vice-President of the European Commission (2019-2024), in conversation with Ramón Jáuregui, President of the Fundación Euroamérica, and José Ignacio Salafranca, First Vice-President of the Fundación Euroamérica.
