Tomorrow Tuesday at 11 o’clock, the Fundación Alternativas (calle Don Ramón de la Cruz, 39) organizes a dialogue with David Lucas, Secretary of State for Housing and Urban Agenda, to discuss Access to Housing: A European Challenge.
The growing social demand for welfare and services to public authorities has a preferential expression in the increasingly difficult access to housing. This contrasts with the recognition of housing as a right in documents such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Spanish Constitution itself.
We must address this problem and reform the rules by which we have governed ourselves, and we must do so quickly and substantively, in particular with regard to two elements: resources and political decisions, overcoming bureaucratic obstacles.
Diego López Garrido, executive vice president of the Fundación Alternativas, will talk with the secretary of state. It is essential to register on this link to attend the conversation. It is also possible to follow it on YouTube.
