Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares condemned on Friday the attacks carried out this morning by Russia against civilian targets in Kyiv, which left at least four dead and “constitute unacceptable violations of international humanitarian law.”

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Russian army launched 430 drones and 18 missiles at the country’s capital this morning, resulting in at least four deaths and 24 injuries. This “evil” attack, according to the Ukrainian president, was “deliberately calculated with the aim of causing maximum damage to the population and civilian infrastructure.”

“Russia’s attacks this morning against civilian targets in Kyiv, which continue to cause deaths and destruction of infrastructure, constitute unacceptable violations of international humanitarian law,” Albares wrote on social media. “Spain continues to support Ukraine in the face of senselessness and violence,” he concluded.
