The Diplomat
The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, received the Portuguese ambassador to Spain, José Augusto Duarte, on Tuesday to “strengthen economic and cultural ties with the neighboring country.”
The institutional meeting, which took place at the Royal Post Office, the seat of the regional government, is part of “the regular meetings that the head of the regional government holds with diplomatic representatives” and allowed them to address various issues of interest to the Community of Madrid and Portugal, a country that Díaz Ayuso “has visited on several occasions,” the regional government stated in a press release.
