The Diplomat
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its independence, on 11 November from 3 p.m., the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid will host Angola Day, an institutional event and a cultural festival that will bring together diplomacy, culture and economic projection, and which will have free entry for all the public.
The morning will be devoted to an institutional event with authorities, diplomatic representatives and business leaders, strengthening bilateral relations and opening up new avenues of cooperation.
From 15 hours will begin the great cultural day, which will take place throughout the afternoon, with its end scheduled at 21 hours. The event will feature stands dedicated to culture, tourism, gastronomy and Angolan products, offering an immersive experience.
The program will include concerts and live performances, carnival parades, kizomba dances and DJ sessions, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. These spaces will also serve as a strategic platform for sponsors, who can associate their image with an event of international prestige.
Angola Day 2025 has the support of important Spanish and Angolan entities that strengthen the union between both countries.
The Angolan ambassador, Balbina Malheiros Dias da Silva, stressed in the presentation of this fabulous event that this event “will be a special occasion to show the identity of Angola, honor the path taken in these 50 years of independence and strengthen the ties of friendship and collaboration that unite us with Spain”.
The organization of Angola Day reflects the firm commitment of the Embassy to strengthen institutional, cultural and business relations between Angola and Spain, projecting a modern and dynamic image of the country. This celebration will be a meeting place between authorities, diplomatic representatives and economic agents of both countries, marking a milestone in bilateral cooperation.
To ensure the success of the event, the Embassy has relied on Brand Comunicación as Technical Secretariat, a company with more than 20 years of experience in the sector, which will contribute its knowledge in planning, production and coordination of high-level institutional events. The official presentation of this collaboration took place at the headquarters of the Embassy of Angola in Madrid and was attended by the ambassador, Balbina Malheiros Dias da Silva, and Jordi Martínez Aguilar, CEO of Brand Comunicación.
