Madrid is definitely already a great competitor for the cities that host the best musical productions. Today’s premiere of the acclaimed and famous Wicked, at the Teatro Alcalá (calle Jorge Juan, 62), with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.
The impressive and compelling voices of singers Cristina Picos, as Elphaba (the green witch), and Cristina Llorente, as Glinda, impress and fill with heavenly sound the theater, together with some companions, a ballet/ choir (perfectly combined) that offers a majestic show to the sounds of music performed by the orchestra directed masterfully by maestro Joan Miquel Pérez.
