The Spanish government condemned this Thursday the terrorist attack in Manchester against a synagogue during the celebration of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, which left two dead and three injured.
“We extend our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims, and we wish a speedy recovery to those injured,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
“Spain condemns terrorism and strongly rejects all forms of violence. We reiterate our firm condemnation of all forms of antisemitism, which has no place in our societies,” it added.
The attack took place Thursday morning against the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester. A man drove his car into the crowd gathered in front of the temple and stabbed several people. No details have been released yet regarding the identity of the attacker, but it is known that he acted alone and that he died from police gunfire.
