From September 23 to October 5, the Teatros Luchana present Si alguna vez hubo un nosotros (If there was ever a us), with text and direction by Ignasi Vidal and actors Félix Gómez and Noemí Ruiz.
The work seeks to delve into the most intimate and vulnerable aspects of a relationship that, although it seems to have begun with great passion, is devoured by insecurities, silence and unfulfilled expectations.
The direction of Ignasi Vidal is committed to stage minimalism, where the text and acting play an absolute role. Through poetic monologues, the characters Jaime and Marla revive memories, doubts and pain in an empty scenario that reflects the emotional loneliness of the couple.
If ever there was a we is an intense drama that explores the complexity of human relationships, love and the inevitable failures that arise between two people who, although deeply united, cannot save their relationship. Through poetic monologues, the characters Jaime and Marla struggle to understand what failed between them and if they were ever really “one of us”.
The work invites the viewer to look inside, to face the silences, fears and emotional ruins that love leaves when it is not taken care of. It is an intimate, delicate and brutally honest proposal. Ignasi Vidal builds a text where the characters speak from the wound, from loss, and from the need to understand what it means to love another and yourself. A story that could be anyone’s.
