Until the next 24 August are taking place, as every year, the Summers of the Villa de Madrid.
And as always, there is a varied program of shows, concerts and activities, many of them free: flamenco, pop, opera, copla, pasacalles, humorous dialogues, chotis, circus, exhibitions, open air cinema, children’s shows, workshops and theater. A cultural offer designed for all ages and tastes, ideal to enjoy with the family and relieve the heat of summer for both Madrileños and tourists.
Like the previous forty-one editions, Madrid will become a great festival, a vibrant party that brings together national and international artists of high quality. The Summers of the Villa will continue to be a unique opportunity to meet in the streets, squares, parks, theaters and municipal spaces such as Matadero or Conde Duque. In short, a celebration that reflects the spirit of Madrid: a place of enjoyment, meeting and union.
The closing show, another highlight, will take place on August 24 in the open-air auditorium of the Parque Pinar del Rey. Celia Vive, with the singer Lucrecia, will commemorate the centenary of the birth of Celia Cruz, «La Reina de la Salsa».
