The Madrid public will be able to enjoy this second edition of the Mexican Film Week from 11 to 20 July in 12 venues distributed throughout the capital, reaffirming the cultural ties between Mexico and Spain through a diverse and high-quality film programming.

More than 45 screenings of fiction and documentary premieres, family cinema, a retrospective dedicated to the Mexican stage of Luis Buñuel, and a tribute to the renowned photographer and director Rodrigo Prieto, essential figure of contemporary cinema at an international level.

This cultural initiative returns to the city to bring to the public the best of contemporary and classic Mexican cinema, consolidating a space for meeting, reflection and enjoyment around the Seventh Art. The program also includes colloquia and masterful meetings with special guests, including directors, actors, producers and screenwriters who have marked the recent history of Mexican cinema.

In this second edition will take part rooms that are emblematic spaces such as the Academy of cinema, Cinema Doré and Cinema Studio of the Circle of Fine Arts; an edition more participating Cinemas Yelmo, the Cultural Center Paco Rabal and the Cultural Center Pilar Miró; and join the Equis Room, the Cines Embajadores and the Hotel Casa de las Artes Meliá Collection.
