The actor Héctor Alterio returns to Teatro del Barrio (calle de Zurita, 20) next 27 and 28 June at 19.30 hours with Como hace 3.000 años (Like 3,000 years ago), a recital with live music where he pays tribute to the poet Leon Felipe.

This project is the culmination of a personal desire by Héctor Alterio to interpret a selection of texts that do not have a common denominator, however they highlight the manifestation of shared feelings between the author and the interpreter, coincidences that exist due to Hector’s emotional involvement with the show. The proposal is extremely original since it does not say the poems in a classical form but interprets them, thus it is not the metric or the melody that marks its way, but the interpretation; it does not seek only the essence, but the performance.

The accompaniment of José Luís Merlín on guitar is supported, inevitably, by improvisation from own themes and the inflection and modulation of the voice of the actor. It uses a technique similar to that of the flamenco guitarists but supported by own pieces of unmistakable South American root. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
