La Filarmónica closes its season with the Wiener Symphoniker

The Wiener Symphoniker closes its 125th anniversary tour at the same time as the closing concert of Season 24/25 of the Sociedad de Conciertos La Filarmónica. Tickets can be purchased at this link.

 

For this appointment, which will take place in the Sala Sinfónica del Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid next Thursday at 7.30 p.m., the renowned orchestra and its principal, Petr Popelka, have prepared for the closing of the Sociedad de Conciertos La Filarmónica a programme with works deeply rooted in the tradition of their city: Beethoven’s Home Consecration, an almost unknown overture; Josef Strauss’ Dynamiden Waltz; the suite of Richard Strauss’ opera The Knight of the Rose and Mendelssohn’s violin concerto with soloist Renaud Capuçon.

 

And for the 14th season of La Filarmónica await the operas and overtures of Rameau, Beethoven’s Fifth, Mozart’s Concertante Symphony, Wagner-Maazel’s Ring without words, Bach’s Passion according to Sant Mateo, Mahler’s First and Ninth…
