The renowned Polish authors Margo Rejmer and Aleksandra Lun, whose works have transcended borders and genres, will be protagonists in the round tables organized at the Europa Pavilion of the Madrid Book Fair on 10 and 11 June. Their participation is not only an opportunity to hear first-hand from two key figures in the current European literary scene, but also an invitation to reflect on such essential issues as identity, travel and writing from a female perspective.

On Tuesday 10 June at 7.15 pm, Aleksandra Lun will take part in the debate They write Europe, a meeting with other authors from across the continent to discuss what it means today to write from and about women in a changing Europe. On Wednesday, 11 June at 6pm, Margo Rejmer will join the round table The Journey: Europe’s Identity, a conversation about how displacement-physical, emotional and symbolic-shapes individual and collective narratives of the continent.

A double appointment with contemporary Polish literature that promises to enrich the European cultural dialogue from lucid, critical and deeply original voices.

Margo Rejmer (Warsaw, 1985) is a writer and journalist. It is considered the great revelation of Polish journalism and heir to the style of masters of non-fiction like Ryszard Kapuściński or Hanna Krall. His two literary reports have been published in Spanish: Bucharest. Dust and Blood (La Caja Books, 2019) and Mud sweeter than honey (La Caja Books, 2020).

Aleksandra Lun (Gliwice, 1979) left Poland at the age of 19, paid for her studies in Spanish philology in Spain by working in a casino and now lives in Brussels. His first book, Los palimpsestos, written in Spanish, translated into English, French and Dutch, and he received the PEN/Heim grant from PEN America. His second novel, Chemistry for Mosquitoes (Gutenberg Galaxy, 2024), has been awarded the LIV International Novel Prize City of Barbastro.
