Today, the latest installment of the saga played and produced by Tom Cruise, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, directed by Christopher McQuarrie and also performed by Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Mariela Garriga, Henry Czerny, Angela Bassett and Frederick Schmidt, who reprised the role of part one.
The expectation and emotion remain in the viewer from the first second of the film, the second part of the film released two years ago. The well-made and exceptionally shot action, the authentically dangerous scenes with Tom Cruise as protagonist (with some acrobatic images around a plane worthy of the best specialist), the music, the sound and an explosive ending make this eighth installment (and last?) of the saga a film for lovers of action and special effects.
On this occasion, the intrepid Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) faces not only human enemies but also technological threats of a global scope. The story delves deeper into Hunt’s personal and ethical dilemmas, showing a more human side of the character without losing the fast-paced rhythm that characterizes the franchise. It is a film that has a message quite appropriate for the geopolitical and ultratecnological times in the area of communication (hoaxes, feaknews) we live in today.
