The Council of Ministers authorized this Tuesday several voluntary contributions from Spain to international organizations, programs, funds, and other entities for a total amount of €11.36 million.
On the one hand, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) will contribute €8,060,000 to two international organizations affected by US President Donald Trump’s decision to cancel certain contributions. Specifically, these are the World Health Organization (WHO), which will receive €5,250,000, and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), with €2,810,000.
In addition, the Council of Ministers has authorized another €3.3 million to the following programs: the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), which will receive €3 million for the LAF (Lebanon Livelihood Ecosystem Support Project); the United States Association of Former Members of Congress (FMC), with 200,000 euros; and the Paris Peace Forum (Forum de Paris sur la Paix), with 100,000 euros.
