Until next 20 June, the Instituto Francés de Madrid presents today the exhibition Mapa de sueños, created by the students of the art workshop of Wilfried Raguël of the Lycée Français de Madrid, in collaboration with Sandra Mar, artist resident at Casa Velázquez. Free admission until capacity is full.

For several years, the Casa de Velázquez, the Institut Français de Madrid and the Lycée Français de Madrid have maintained a rich collaboration, offering students unique artistic experiences.

The exhibition Map of dreams shows the ceramic creations of the students of the art workshop of the French Lyceum. This project explores the world of dreams, transforming each piece into a personal and poetic cartography of aspirations, memories and imaginations. The exhibition invites visitors on a journey into a dreamlike world where art and imagination merge. Shows the creativity of young artists and illustrates the power of ceramics to express the invisible and the intangible.

Each work on display opens a window to dreams and interior landscapes. The textures, shapes and vivid colors of the pieces create a dialogue between tradition and innovation, between reality and dream.

The exhibition celebrates the transformation of ceramics into a universal language imbued with poetry and emotion, enriched by the artistic expertise of Sandra Mar, who studied Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia where he later specialized in ceramics with the Master of Artistic Production. Understanding mud as a canvas, this material eventually became a support for his drawings and writings. The central element of his work is poetry, especially that which asks about love, desire and affections. His pieces are a way to express his physical and emotional experience, through different symbols that build his imagination. During the work process he is interested in the dialogue that arises between his body and the material, which forces him to his limits.
