The Community of Madrid and the Government of Ecuador have signed an agreement to facilitate official professional accreditation for Ecuadorian citizens residing in the region.
The agreement was signed this past Friday by the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and the Vice Minister of Human Mobility of Ecuador, Alejandro Dávalos, at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry in Quito, during an institutional visit by the regional leader to the Andean country.
The protocol, which will make it easier for Ecuadorian citizens residing in Madrid to access official accreditation of their professional skills acquired through work experience, aims to “improve training for those starting from scratch and attract great professionals to the labor market,” Ayuso stated.
“We want Ecuadorians in their other home, in Madrid, to find these job opportunities and grow professionally,” she added. Díaz Ayuso noted that the protocol is valid for four years and will strengthen the skilled workforce in key sectors such as construction, manufacturing, information and communications technology, transportation, professional services, healthcare, and long-term care.
